These Are Some Pictures Of Commemorative Board And Centuries Old Great Bath Located Within The Ruins Of Mohen Jo Daro Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan. It Is A Water Pond Built With Full Scientific Techniques For Water Storage And Used To Perform Religious Rituals By The Ancient Inhabitants Of Mohen Jo Daro. Mohen Jo Daro Ruins Is World Heritage Site.
It Is Written On The Commemorative Board Erected Near Great Bath :
' This Tank Popularly Known As Great Bath Was Apparently Used For Ritual Purposes By The Inhabitants Of Mohen Jo Daro. It Measures About 35 Into 23 Feet And Is 8 Feet Deep With Antechambers On Either Sides. Its Floor Is Approachable By Flight Of Steps On Either End. Nevertheless South West Corner Is An Outlet For The Water Disposal Through High Drain With Corbel Arch. In A Room On The East Of The Western Veranda Is A Double Ring Well To Feed The Bath. To Keep The Tank Water Tight A Thin Layer Of Bitumen Was Applied To The Outer Face Of Its Wall. A Proper Gradient In The Floor Level Was Maintained And Fine Joint Masonry Work Was Done In The Construction Of The Floor And Sides Of The Bath. A Rare Feature In Contemporary Architecture.'
