These Are Some Pictures Of Commemorative Board And Splendid Building Of Hazarduari Palace Built By Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah Located At Murshidabad, West Bengal, India. The Architect Of Hazarduari Palace Was Duncan Macleod. The Foundation Stone Of The Palace Was Laid On August 9, 1829 A.D. Now This Palace Serves As A Museum Having 20 Galleries.
It Is Written On The Commemorative Board Of Hazarduari Palace Murshidabad Erected By The Archaeological Survey Of India :

' HAZARDUARI PALACE '

' The Palace Is Popularly Known As "Hazarduari", As It Contains About Thousand Real And False Doors. It Was Built During The Time Of Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah ( A.D 1829-37 ) At A Cost Of Rs. 15.50 Lakhs. The Palace Was Designed By Colonel Duncan McLeod Who Also Supervised Its Construction. The Building Rectangular In Plan (130 Meters Long And 61 Meters Broad), Standing On The East Bank Of Bhagirathi, Is A Good Example Of Indo-European Architecture, Strongly Reminiscent Of Italian Style, As Seen In Its Huge Style Of Stairs In Front, In The Colossal Pillars And Also And Also In Facade Of The Building. The Darbar Hall With Its Lofty Dome (24 Meters High) Adorned With Fine Stucco Ornamentation, Is The Most Attractive Feature Of This Feature.
The Palace Was Used Holding The Darbar And Other Officials Works Of The Nawabs As Also For The Residence Of The High Ranking British Officials. It Now Houses A Museum Displaying The Collections Of Nawabs Consisting Of Furniture, Oil Paintings, Arms, Statues In Marble, Bronze Etc. And Also A Rich Library With Rare Books And Manuscripts.'
