Faqir (A Muslim Ascetic From Bukhara ) Was The Head Of The Lahore Family Whose Three Sons Achieved Popularity In The Court Of Sikh Ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh. One Son Was Royal Physician, Second A Foreign Minister And The Third A Finance Minister. As A Result Of Their Relationships With Maharaja Ranjit Singh, They Gathered A Lot Of Valuable Antiquities.
Relics Of The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Early Qurans, Illuminated Manuscripts, Miniature Paintings, Porcelain Pieces, Old Coins, Islamic Artwork, Carvings, Clothes Of The Mughal Emperors, Armoury Of Sikh Weapons And Carpets From The Royal Courts Are Some Notable Antiques That Are Preserved In Faqir Khana Museum Lahore.
