Mughal Era Special '

These Are some pictures of Urdu Commemorative board and Great Mughal times Mughal Gardens Located at Wah, Attock, Punjab, Pakistan. The Construction of this Garden started By Raja Maan Singh. He built a Water pond and Baradari here. This Garden was visited by Mughal Emperors Jahangir And Shah Jahan While going to Kabul.
It is written on the commemorative board of Mughal Gardens Wah erected by The Administration Wah Garden, Archaeology Department, Government of Pakistan.

'Mughal Gardens Wah'

'Mughal emperor's love and affection with natural scenes, natural and beautiful valleys and water falls took birth to the Mughal Gardens. Its beautiful mixture is Shalimar Garden Lahore and Mughal Garden Wah. We can see such types of Gardens that were built with Mughal tombs. Shalimar Garden Lahore and Mughal Garden Wah resemble much. And there Are all those Contractual Characteristics in both gardens of which Mughal Gardens Are famous throughout the world. Raja Maan Singh, the famous Ameer of Emperor Akbar and brother in law of Jahangir was appointed here from 1581 to 1586 A.D to stop the enemy from Attock. In these days, he built a Water pond and Baradari here. Emperor Jahangir, while going to Kabul on 29th April 1607 A.D, stayed at this place and did fishing in this water pond. He writes in his autobiography," On 12 Muharram 1016 Hijri stayed at Baba Hassan Abdal. There is a Water Fall one Kos away, In The Eastern direction of this place that's Water falls very fastly in the middle of this pond and is water source of the pond. Raja Maan Singh built a small building. There Are a lot of long fish in the pond. I stayed 3 days at this beautiful place. I myself caught 10 to 12 fish with The help of fish net and again free them after attaching pearls in their noses. After crown ceremony,in 1639 A.D, Emperor Shah Jahan stayed here first time while going to Kabul and called his Federal Building Department here and ordered to rebuild the building. Ahmad Mamar Lahori, the architect of that times prepared the maps of Gardens, Palaces and inns and Construction work continued for two years under his supervision. This Garden is built as per Mughal architecture and built beautiful Baradaris, fountains, canals and water falls. There built Bathrooms with cool and hot water towards the Southern side of big Baradari. After this, Shah Jahan stayed here four times more in the years of 1646, 1647, 1649 and 1654 while going to Kabul.Historian of Shah Jahan times, Abdul Majeed Lahori called this Garden as 'Bahisht e Amin' And Historian Muhammad Salah Kambo titled it as 'Qaim Mukham Gulistan e Irum'. Aurangzeb Alamgir was the last Mughal emperor who stayed here for some time during his one and half year stay(6 Th July 1674 or 2nd July 1676) at Hassan Abdaal. After this, its declination era started. Especially, It was Much damaged during Durani And Sikh Periods. Here existed every thing damaged. During British Period in 1865, This Garden was handed over to Nawab Hayat Khan. After seeing the historical and architectural importance, Government of Pakistan handed over this Garden to Archaeology department in 1976. Conservation and renovation work started. And work on big pond, Canals and Ways are near to complete. Renovation work of stone jali, Baradaris, Bath rooms and water falls and Mughal era Plantation work will be completed soon.'
