St. John's Church was modeled according to the St Martin-in-the-Fields of London. The St John’s church is built with a combination of brick and stone so commonly known as the “Pathure Girja” (Stone Church) as well. The walls of the church contain memorial tablets, statues and plaques, mostly of British army officers and civil servants.
