' The History of 'Moi-e.Muqqadas' Of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) In Kashmir '

' Hazrat Syed Abdullah (R.A), A Descendant of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) And Trustee Of Holy Shrine Of Madina Possessed 3 Holy Relics:

1- Sacred Hair Of Prophet (SAW)

2- Sacred Turban Of Hazrat Ali (R.A)

3- Zul Jalal- Saddle Of Hazrat Ali (R.A) 's Horse

Syed Abdullah Undertook Journey to India and reached Bejapur in 1636 (1046 H), During The reign of Shahjahan. After his death, his son Syed Hamid Became The custodian of The Holy Relics. Khawaja Noor Udin Ashawari, A noted Kashmiri Trader Met Syed Hamid And developed deep respect for him. While leaving for home, he requested Syed Hamid for one of the relics. Initially he refused but The Prophet (SAW) in a dream, directed Syed Hamid to give one to Sh. Ashawari for taking it to Kashmir. The latter chose the sacred Hair which was given to him along with Khadim Maidanish. On Reaching Lahore, Kh. Ashawari was arrested by Aurangzeb And The Sacred Relic Was Enshrined in The Dargah at Ajmer Sharif. Kh. Ashawari died in Lahore. Aurangzeb was directed by The Prophet (SAW) in a dream, to fulfill aspiration of Khawaja Noor Udin. He then arranged a Passage of The Caravan Carrying the Holy Relic-With Full Honour and It reached Srinagar in 1700 A.D. Mirza Qalandar Baig Received the Verse-

(Kashmir has became Madina because of The Sacred Hair of Prophet (SAW).

The holy Relic was first enshrined in Khanquahi Naqashbandia Khawaja Bazar Srinagar. From where it was shifted to Baghi Saif Khan and housed in The Bungalow of Nawab Sadiq Khan, a descendant of The Mughals. Since then it came to be known as Aasari Sherif HAZRATBAL.'
