These are photographs Urdu and Gurmukhi commemorative stones and Pre-partitiion building of historic Gurudwara Nanak Dev Ji Located at Chak # 317 /EB Burewala, Punjab, Pakistan. The Inauguration of renovation and restoration work of Guruduwara Nanak Dev Ji was opened by Lt. General (R) Zulafqar Ali Khan Halal e Imtiaz, Chairman Evaque Trust Property Board Government of Pakistan with his hands on 9th January 2007. The old Gurmukhi commemorative stones erected with the building of Gurdwara Nanak Dev Ji Chak # 317/EB Burewala provides this historical information:

1-"Shri Akal Ji Sahaye Shri Maan Sardar Chula Singh Nagpal De Ghrojindo Bahi Narang nay sewa kiti 101 rupay Visakh 3 Simat 1983 vich Swargvas hoi Vasi Saldera di."


2- "Tehal Karai Sardar Sher Singh Bhasin Bude wala (Chak 333)"


3- "101 Sewa Karai Chani Ram Saputar La. Usnaki Ram Narang Saldera valay nay Visakhi 1 Samat 1984."

Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sahiwal

These are photographs of Gurmukhi commemorative stone and Pre-partitiion building of Guruduwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha located at Mandi Montgomery (Sahiwal), Punjab, Pakistan. Guruduwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Mandi Montgomery was built in the year 1938 A. D. This Gurdwara is not in working condition as there is no Sikh population here in Sahiwal. Local police station is working in the building of Gurdwara Sri Singh Sabha Sahiwal.

Gurudawara Panjvien Chevien Patshahi Sri Nankana Sahiib

These are photographs commemorative stone/boards, Parkash Ashtan, exterior and interior of Grand Beautiful historic Gurudwara Panjveen Chevien Patshahi located near Gurudwara Tambu Sahib Sri Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan. Both Gurudwaras share common boundary wall. According to the information written on commemorative board, at this holy place, 5th Guru of Sikhism Guru Arjun Dev Ji Maharaj stayed here when he came here to visit Janam Ashtan of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. So this place is famous as Panjveen Patshahi. This is the Holy place where 6th Guru of Sikhism Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee Maharaj stayed here after coming back from Kashmir tour. The tree with which he knotted the bridle of his hourse is still exists as a memorial (Preserved in a glass case). And then from here, he went to visit the Janam Ashtan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj on foot. So this place is famous as Chevien Patshahi.

These are some photographs of Gurmukhi commemorative board and old times beautiful building of Gurdwara Tambu Sahib located at Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan. Researcher and Historic Photographer Mr. Ahmed Hassan says that once Guru Nanak Dev's Mehta Kalu gave him some money and sent him market town Chuharkana (Farooqabad) to the business. In spite of doing business, Guru Ji fed hungry villagers with the sum of rupees twenty received from his father and came back fully satisfied with what he had done. As he reached near his village, he realised the possibility of his father's displeasure and rebuke. Guru Nanak hid himself under a Vann tree whose branches touched the ground making it look like a Tanbu (tent) until discovered and taken home. A Gurudwara was built near the Vann tree during the Sikh Rule in Punjab.

Gurmukhi commemorative board provides this historical information:


"Guruduara Tambu Sahib

Is asthan nu Guru Nanak Dev ji di pavitar charan choh prapat he. Jadon Guru Nanak Dev hi sacha sauda karke vapis parte ta kujh same (time) lai is Van de drakhat heth biraje San."

Gurdwara Sri Mal Ji Sahib Sri Nankana Sahib

The administration of 'The History Of Sub-Continent Through Commemorative Stones' is much pleased to share the photographs of commemoratives boards and old times beautiful building of holy Gurudwara Sri Mal Ji Sahib located at Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan. Here are also some photographs of the sacred Vann tree under which Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj slept. Researcher and Historic Photographer Mr. Ahmed Hassan says, "One day Guru Nanak Dev Ji was sleeping under a Mal Tree (Vann Tree). Rai Bular and his men noticed that the shadow had lengthen and shifted Eastwards but the shadow of the particular Vann tree under which Guru Nanak Dev Ji was sleeping still stood over the sleeping Nanak."

Whereas Urdu commemorative board contains this different information:

" Gurudwara Sri Mal ji (Sri Nankana Sahib)

At this holy place, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji used to graze his buffaloes. One day he lay down under the cool shadow of a tree. When as the sun rises, sunlight came to his face. A cobra (snake) appeared from a nearby bush and spread its hood to provide shadow at the face of Guru Ji. This Mal (Wann tree) still exists today."
