Hailey Hostet Old Campus Lyallpur

All these photographs are of English commemorative stone and Majestic beautiful building of Hailey Hostel located at old campus University of Agriculture Faisabad, Punjab, Pakistan. It is one of the earliest buildings of University of Agriculture Faisabad built by British ruler. This hostel building was named after Sir William Malcolm Hailey. Now Hailey Hostel is renamed as Hailey Hall.

According to English commemorative stone, Hailey Hostel was opened on the 30th July 1927 by his Excellency Sir William Malcolm Hailey K. C. S. I., C. I. E., I. C. S., the then Governor of the Punjab.

The administration of 'The History Of Sub-Continent Through Commemorative Stones' is much pleased to share the photographs of Urdu, Gurmukhi commemorative stones and Exterior and interior of Grand Beautiful British times Building of Lawrence Hall situated inside Lawrence Garden (Jinnah Garden) Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Lawrence Hall Lahore was built in 1861-62 as a memorandum in memory of Sir John Lawrence, First Lieutenant Governor Punjab (1st January 1859-25 February 1859) and Viceroy of India (12 January 1864-12 January 1869). Lawrence Hall Lahore has a very majestic ceiling and floor is made of Deodar wood. It was designed by Mr. Stone Civil Engineer. Lawrence Hall Lahore was used for public and official meetings. Quaid-e-Azam Library has been working in this Majestic Hall for 1984.


There are erected two commemorative stones inside Lawrence Hall, one in Gurmukhi and other in Urdu but having same information about Donors who donated for its construction. The Inscriptions of the stones read as under:

' The Frere Hall

Erected by the people of Sind as a memorial of their esteem to his Excellency Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere G. C. B., G. C. S. I., P. C., Governor of Bombay and Formerly Commissioner in Sind for his able and successful administration of the affairs of the province during a lengthened rule of nearly nine years.

Building commenced  August 1863

Opened to the public on the 10th day of October 1865. '

British Times Building Of Town Hall Located At Pattoki

These Are Some Pictures Of Foundation Stone And Renovated British Times Building Of Town Hall Located At Pattoki City In Kasur District, Punjab, Pakistan. The Foundation Stone Of Town Hall Pattoki Was Laid By F.C. Bourne Esquire I.C.S, Deputy Commissioner Lahore On 27Th July 1940 A.D. Town Hall Pattoki Is Now Renamed As Jinnah Hall. At That Times, Kasur Was A Part Of Lahore District That Was Separated From Lahore In 1976 A.D And Became District Itself.
