House of Queen of Melody Noor Jahan Lahore

 " Merry Christmas 🤶" 




These are photographs of Urdu/English commemorative boards and house of Queen of Melody Noor Jahan located at Bazar Sheikupuriyan Inside Taxali Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.  The real name of Malika-e Tarrunum Noor Jahan is Allah Wasai. She was born in 1926 and died in 2000 A. D. No doubt, Malika-e-Tarrunum Noor Jahan was a great singer and actress. Malika - e- Tarrunum Noor Jahan lived in this house from 1938 to 1942.

Another bilingual commemorative board provides this useful historical information:

"Madam Noor Jahan known as" Malika-e-Tarrunum", the queen of Melody was one of the greatest entertainer among the elite artists of the Subcontinent. She was born on 21st of September 1926. She started her film career from the Pre-partitiion Indian Film Industry but later migrated to Pakistan in 1947 and carved a legendary name for herself both in act and playback singing. She spent some years of her life here in Taxali Gate and now the same property is owned by someone else."

Prem Niwas at Kasur City

Beautiful Prem Niwas at Kasur City



These photographs are of English commemorative stone and British times beautiful building of Prem Niwas located outside Kot Azam Khan Kasur, Punjab, Pakistan. Unfortunately now this beautiful building is no more and dismembered some months ago. Prem Niwas building was originally related to Vakil Kanshi Ram Kochhar of Chunian B. A. L. L. B. Foundation of Prem Niwas was laid on 14th April 1927.

This Pre-partitiion house is located in Bilal Gung Area, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This house was built In the loving Memory of his dear sons
Dr. Bishan DAS .Babu Jag Oham Lal
And Mr Chetan Anand Who Breathed their last in Quetta  earthquake on 31st of May 1935
By their aggrieved Father L. Madho Das Joteja

Pink Coloured House at Kolkata, West Bangal, India

These are the photographs of Bangali commemorative stone and Pink house located Near Wellington Square Taltala Kolkata, West Bangal, India. This was the house where the famous poet Kazi Nazrul Islam spent a couple of years of his life (1921-22).  During that phase, he wrote one of his famous poem "Bidrohi" (Rebel).Kazi Nazrul Islam (24 May 1899 – 29 August 1976) was a Bengali poet, writer, musician, and revolutionary. He is the national poet of Bangladesh. Popularly known as Nazrul, he produced a large body of poetry and music with themes that included religious devotion and spiritual rebellion against fascism and oppression. Nazrul's activism for political and social justice earned him the title of "Rebel Poet"  His compositions form the avant-garde genre of Nazrul Sangeet  (Music of Nazrul). In addition to being revered in Bangladesh, he is equally commemorated and revered in India, especially in the Bengali-speaking States of West Bengal and Tripura.

It is written in Bengali on sommemorative stone:

'Symbol of youth poet Nazrul Islam spent some time of his life here (1921-22) at this house 3/4 C Taltala Lane. At this very house the poet wrote his famous poem "Bidrohi" (The Rebel).

This stone tablet was erected on his birth centenary by the committee on 24th April 1999.'

Ancestral House of Michael Madhusudan Dutta

These Are Some More Pictures Of Interior And Exterior Of Ancestral House of Michael Madhusudan Dutta, The Famous Bengali Poet Of Undivided India Who Excelled In Both Bengali And English literature. This Old House Is Located In Village Sagardari ,Sub District Keshabpur District Jessore Bangladesh. Influences By English Poems, He Introduced Sonnet In Bengali Literature And Created Many Literary Gems. He Had Converted To Christianity And Hence Was Denied Entry To His Ancestral Homes By His Parents, So He Composed Many Of His Poems Sitting On The Banks Of Kopottaksha River Besides His House. The Picture Of River Is Aslo Included In These Pictures. This House Is A Protected Monument And Serves As Museum.
Michael Madhusudan Dutta Was Born At Sagordari On 25 January 1824 In The House Of Mr. Rajnarayan Dutt And Jahnabi Devi. Mr. Dutta Was A Popular Bengali Poet And Dramatist Of 19th-Century. He Was A Pioneer Of Modern Bengali Drama. His Famous Work "Meghnad Bodh Kavya" Is A Tragic Epic. It Is Exceptional In Bengali Literature in Terms of Style and Content. Mr. Dutta Also Wrote Poems About The Sorrows And Afflictions Of Love. He Wrote Bengali Plays In English Style. 'Buro Shaliker Ghare Ron' And 'Ekei Ki Boley Sabyota' Are His Famous Plays In Bengali Language.
He Was An Exceptionally Talented Student. Since His Childhood, Mr. Dutta Was Recognised By His Teachers And Professors As Being a Precocious Child With A Gift Of Literary Expression. He Was Very imaginative As Well. He Started Writing At The Age of 17. His English Poetry Published In England In Blackwood's Magazine And Bentley's Miscellany.
Mr. Dutta Went To England In 1862 For Becoming a Barrister-at-Law, And Enrolled At The Gray's Inn. He Was Admitted As Barrister To The High Court In Calcutta On His Return In February 1867.
Michael Madhusudan Dutta Died In Calcutta General Hospital on 29 June 1873 And Buried In
Lower Circular Road Cemetery Kolkata.
Once Michael Dutta Wrote To His Friend Bysack From France That Shows His Great Love For Mother Language:
' If There Be Any One Among Us Anxious To Leave a Name Behind Him And Not Pass Away Into Oblivion Like a Brute, Let Him Devote Himself To His Mother-Tongue. That Is His Legitimate Sphere His Proper Element.'
