Dalwal Village Mission High School (Est. 1900), The Salt Range, Punjab.
The reason many of our ancestors (of Dulmial & surrounding villages) were well educated was because of this school established by Belgium Capuchin Fathers (Catholic Christians) in 1900.
Men destined to become farmers became literate & educated hence becoming highly valued by the British Indian Army. This led to many becoming Viceroy Commissioned Officers (VCOs). Education for girls was also established.
The region has to thank the Capuchin Monks for bringing education to the area 115 years ago.
