'Brief Introduction of Smadhies'
1- Smadhi of Raj Kaur(Datar Kaur) Commonly known as Nakaen Kaur
Raj Kaur was the daughter of Nakai Sardar Ran Singh of Pattoki, second wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Mother of Raja Kharak Singh. When Ranjit Singh got married with her in1798 A. D., He lovingly named her as Nakaen Kaur (Mai Nakeen). Nakaen Kaur died on 20th June 1837 A. D.
2- Smadhi Chandar Kaur
Chandar Kaur was the wife of Raja Kharak Singh and Mother of Naunihal Singh. She became Maharani of Punjab on 2nd December 1840. She was forcefully separated from Raj Gadi on 17th January 1841 A. D. Her unexplicable death happened on 11th June 1842.
3- Smadhi Sahib Kaur
In 1837, Sahib Kaur got married at the age of 16 years with Naunihal Singh, the son of Kharak Singh. She was beloved daughter in law of Maharani Chandar Kaur. Sahib Kaur died in 1841 A. D.
