These are photographs of Urdu commemorate board and Great Mughals times entrance building of a Fort named Rani Bagh located at city Kangan Pur District Kasur, Punjab, Pakistan. This heritage building is now under the custody of Pakistan Army and called as Rani Bagh Camp. Urdu commemorate board describes the following informative facts about Rani Bagh Kangan Pur:



" Rani Bagh


For nearly in 650 A. D., Raja Kambo of Chunian gave the area of Kangan Pur as a dowry to his daughter. The daughter of Raja Kambo named this area as Kangan Pur in the name of her daughter Kangan Bars. The area of Kangan Pur remained unpopulated for a long period of time. King Babar transfered this area as a feud to one of his general named General Akbar Mughal who populated this area. This fort-like building located 1 kilometer  North West of of Kangan Pur was built by Shahjahan in 1650 A. D. This fort-like building called Rani Bagh (Garden of the Queen) was the recretional place of the family of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, that's why became famous as Rani Bagh.


This fort had a strong wall and a beautiful garden inside the walls. Burjs were built at the four corners of the walls where guards were appointed to safeguard. A trench was also built from inside the fort to a nearby well located outside of the fort. With the passage of the time, Governments remained changed. In British Era, this building first used as Police Station and then as Veterinary Hospital.



In the same period of British Government, the story of its destruction started. From the partition of Hind till 1965' s Pak-India War, this building used as Veterinary Hospital. After this, this building and surrounding area became under the control of Pak Army. "
