Old Letter Box at Golra Sharif Railway Station
These are photographs of English commemorative metal plate and British times letter box erected on a postal van at Golra Sharif Railway Station, Pakistan. The history of this old letter box written on commemorative plate speaks as under:
"This letter box, which was taken from a railway station on the Tanga-Moschi line inGerman East Africa, captured by the British during 1916, was presented to the Lahore Post Office by Major General Sirr H. Ewart, D. A. And Q. M. G.. in recognition of the services rendered by postal officials of this circle to the East African expeditionary forces."
