Bhodesar Mosque Nagarparkar, Sindh, Pakistan

These are some photographs of English/ Sindhi commemorative board and Ancient Bhodesar Mosque built in 1505 A. D. By Mahmood Shah Bin Muzaffar Shah Bin Ghiyasuddin, the ruler of Gujrat located at Nagarparkar Umer Kota, Sindh, Pakistan.


It is written on the Commemorative Board of Bhodesar Mosque Erected by Director General Antiquities and Archaeology, Cultural, Tourism & Antiquities Department Government of Sindh.

'This small beautiful, but shinning white mosque stands by the side of Bhodesar Dam (Reservoir) at the foot of Karoon Thar built entirely inchast marble by Mahmood Shah Bin Muzaffar Shah Bin Ghiyasuddin, the ruler of Gujrat in 1505 A. D, 880 A. H. It is doomed structure with influence of Hindu and Jain Architectural style and decoration. The main chamber is roughly square in plan, each side measuring about 9.2 m, which is supported by Marble pillars and beams. The facade is decorated with merlons shaped battlements. The mosque has a Courtyard on the Eastern side of the main chamber which is enclosed with a perimeter wall built in dressed loom sand stone. '
