'Ponch House'
'Ponch House Was Basically A Residential Building Which was built in 1849 during the reign of Maharaja Duleep Singh as Residence of Lord Lawrence When He In Lahore for Objurgation of Sikh Army.
Total area of the building is 210K_11M_19959ft and according to the Revenue Record, this land consists upon Khasra Number 4552 which belonged to Raja Jugat Singh. In 1962 According to Government Notification, this Building Was handed over to Federal government.
After This, This Banglaw was under control of Charles Boulnois Barister Chief Court. Then it was in use of Chief Judge Sir Meredith Plowder.

After the Emergenc of Pakistan, the offices of Industry Department were transformed in the building of Ponch House and still this Building is in use of Industry Department. With the passage of time, other offices of Forestry Department, Minerals Department, Cooperative Department and Punjab Health Foundation were shafted in the building of Ponch House.
A hall of this building is using as Court of Cooperative Department and Mines And Minerals Department.
In the premises of the building, Industrial and Commercial Museum was established in 1950 which was closed in 1985 and The Library of Directorate of Industries was transferred in the Same place.
At the time of the emergenc of Pakistan, First Director Industries was Mr. Bashir Ahmad Qureshi who worked in the same Designation from 14-08-1947 to 07-01-1949. After this, important and well reputed Officers of Civil Services of Pakistan Qudrat Ullah Shahab, H.R.Pasha, Parvaiz Masood, A. Z. K. Sherdil and Safdar Javaid Syed served in the same designation.
Muhammad Sadiq Sheikh Flight Lt (R) Took charge of Ponch House as Director Industries from 01-09-2011 and started his efforts to save this Historical Heritage. At last, He succeeded to fulfill this Mission. '
