The Motto of This College Shown on The Monogram Of The College is ' Gather Ye The Wisdom Of East & West.' First Six Principals from 1910 to 1947 Were Non-Muslims i, e Prof. N. G. Valinker (1910-16), Prof. M. C. Roy (1916-21), Prof. Arnjan Neogi (1921-23), Prof. Haem Raj (1923-38)

The Commemorative Stone of Physical and Chemical Laboratory was Laid by Sir Protul Chandra Chatterji Rai Bhadur M.A. ,D.L., L. L. D., C. I. E., K.T. On the 3rd May 1917.
