All these photographs are related to Entrance with commemorative board Erected by Archeological Survey of India, Commemorative Metal plates Erected with different Yantras of Jantar Mantar Observatory of Delhi, India. Jantar Mantar consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments. Its Constructor was Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur who built Jantar Mantar in 1724 A. D as he was given the task of revising the calendar and astronomical tables by Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah. The purpose of the Construction of the observatory was to compile astronomical tables, to predict the times and movements of the sun, moon and planets. During 1727 and 1734 A. D., Maharaja Jai Singh II built other Observatories in Jaipur, Ujjain,
Mathura and in Varanasi as well.
