All these photographs are of English commemorative stone and British time beautiful grand building of clock tower located at Sukkur city in the province of Sindh Pakistan. English commemorative stone affixed with the building of Clock Tower Sukkar reads as under:



"Foundation stone laid by D. B. Issarsing Tilok Singh President Sukkur Municipality on 1-7-1937.


Opening ceremony performed by U. M. Mirchandani Esqr; I.C.S. Collector of Sukkur on 30-10-1937."

House of Queen of Melody Noor Jahan Lahore

 " Merry Christmas 🤶" 




These are photographs of Urdu/English commemorative boards and house of Queen of Melody Noor Jahan located at Bazar Sheikupuriyan Inside Taxali Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.  The real name of Malika-e Tarrunum Noor Jahan is Allah Wasai. She was born in 1926 and died in 2000 A. D. No doubt, Malika-e-Tarrunum Noor Jahan was a great singer and actress. Malika - e- Tarrunum Noor Jahan lived in this house from 1938 to 1942.

Another bilingual commemorative board provides this useful historical information:

"Madam Noor Jahan known as" Malika-e-Tarrunum", the queen of Melody was one of the greatest entertainer among the elite artists of the Subcontinent. She was born on 21st of September 1926. She started her film career from the Pre-partitiion Indian Film Industry but later migrated to Pakistan in 1947 and carved a legendary name for herself both in act and playback singing. She spent some years of her life here in Taxali Gate and now the same property is owned by someone else."

I First World War Memorial Plaque at Village Takhti, Rawat, Pakistan






These are photographs of First World War memorial plaque and pillar located at Village Takhti Rajgaan near Rawat, Islamabad, Pakistan. Because of war services, the British Authorities erected such memorial plaques throughout Sub-Continent including Punjab. These memorial plaques are erected in such villages from where people went to participate in The First World War as soldiers. The present condition of memorial plaque and pillar is satisfactory. 

From the village Takhti, 7 men went to the Great War 1914-1919 of these 1 gave up his life.

Clock Tower & Ripon Hall Multan


Administration of "The History Of Sub-Continent Through Commemorative Stones" is much pleased to post the beautiful and splendid British times monument of clock tower Multan with its commemorative stone. Corner stone of Clock Tower Multan was laid 12 February 1884 A. D and its construction was completed within four years. It's building has Indo-Saracenic architectural style. It was built for the offices of Muncipal Committee Multan. After the independence of Pakistan, Ripon Hall was renamed as Jinnah Hall. Now city Government Multan has converted it into Multan Museum. The clock of this clock tower is now tells correct time after 26 years. 


English writing on Commemorative stone speaks as under:


"This corner stone of Northbrook Clock Tower and Ripon Hall was laid by the Honble Sir Charles Umpheraton Atchison L. L. D., K. C. S. I., C. I. E., Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab on 12th February 1884."

First World War Memorial Plaque at Village Lehri District Jhelum



This photograph is of the First World War Memorial Plaque located at Village Lehri Tehsil Sohawa District Jhelum. This First World War Memorial Plaque is affixed on the wall of the building of Union Council Lehri Tehsil Sohawa District Jhelum.



The Great Britain not only won the First World War but also won the Second World War. It was due to the help of people of Sub-Continent especially due the people of Punjab. This like memorial plaques are erected through the Punjab and Sub-Continent. The local native people supported the British Authorities in these great wars. They fought bravely against Germans for the cause of British interests. This World War Memorial Plaque provides this historic information:


"Lehri


From this village 391 men went to the Great War 1914-1919 of these 44 gave up their Lives"

Hailey Hostet Old Campus Lyallpur



All these photographs are of English commemorative stone and Majestic beautiful building of Hailey Hostel located at old campus University of Agriculture Faisabad, Punjab, Pakistan. It is one of the earliest buildings of University of Agriculture Faisabad built by British ruler. This hostel building was named after Sir William Malcolm Hailey. Now Hailey Hostel is renamed as Hailey Hall.



According to English commemorative stone, Hailey Hostel was opened on the 30th July 1927 by his Excellency Sir William Malcolm Hailey K. C. S. I., C. I. E., I. C. S., the then Governor of the Punjab.
