Ameer Khusrau Was a Prolific Classical Poet Associated With The Royal Courts of More than Seven Rulers of The Delhi Sultanate. Due To His Contributions Towards Poetry And Music, Ameer Khusrau Is Better Known And Famous As Toti-E-Hind. His Original Name Is Ab'ul Hasan Yamin ud-Din Khusrau. Ameer Khusrau Was An Iconic Figure In The Cultural History of The Subcontinent. He Was Spiritual Disciple of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi. Ameer Khusrau Invented Certain Musical Instruments Like the sitar and tabla. He Wrote Poetry In Persian And Hindavi. He Has Written in Many Verse Forms Including Ghazal, Masnavi, Qata, Rubai, Do-Baiti and Tarkib-Band. But His Contribution To The development of the G?hazal is Significant. He Introduced Ghazal Style of Song In India. He Is Also Regarded As The 'Father Of Qawwali'.
