Grave of great legend poet Munir Niazi located at Model Town Cemetery Lahore

 A Tribute to the Legendary Punjabi Poet Munir Niazi 





These are photographs of Urdu Headstone and grave of great legend poet Munir Niazi located at Model Town Cemetery Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. His original name is Muhammad Munir Khan Niazi. He was boen on 9th April 1928 at Khanpur District Hashiarpur, East Punjab, India. The name of his father was Fateh Muhammad Khan. He obtained his graduation degree from Amar Singh College Srinagar Kashmir. At the time of partition of Subcontinent, he migrated to Montgomery(Sahiwal) from where he published a weekly Urdu Journal named 'Saat Rang'. He wrote a lot of Filmi songs as well. He did poetry both in Punjabi and Urdu. Tez Hawa, Tanha Phool, Jungle Man Dhanak, Tanha Tanha and Dushmanoon Kay Darmyan Sham are his famous urdu poetry books and Safar Di Raat, Rasta Dasan Walay Taray and Char Chup Cheazaan arw his three Punjabi poetry books of Nazams and ghazals. His all Urdu poetry is published in "Kulyat e Munir Niazi" and all Punjabi poetry is published in "Kul Kalam". He wrote a drama 'Qisa Do Bharawaan Da" (Translation). Great Poet Munir Niazi died on 26th December 2006 at Lahore. Here is some verses of Munir Niazi Sahib:


کُج اونج وی راہواں اوکھیاں سَن

کُج گل وچ غم دا طوق وی سی


کُج شہر دے لوک وی ظالم سَن

کُج سانوں مرن دا شوق وی سی




ایڈیاں دردی اکھاں دے وچ

ہنجو بھرن نہ دیواں

وس چلے تے ایس جہاں وچ

کسے نوں مرن نہ دیواں

1- " Ahmadwaam Tunnel 1933


Ahmadwaam Tunnel was initially constructed by Royal Field Company of English Army in 1933, it was a 4.5 meter wide tunnel which could hardly take one way traffic.



In February 2010, as part of development SWA (FATA) by the order of the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani the road Tank-Jandala Makeen was reconstructed as two way road thus the tunnel was also designed as per latest tunnel engineering techniques and specifications, and widened by FWO from 4.5 meter to 7 meter for taking two way traffic. The work on Ahmadwaam Tunnel commenced on 15 April 2011 and was completed on 15 November 2011. "

 Miracle of Waheguru Ji at Gurudawara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib




These are photographs of trilingual commemorative board and the preserved bomb dropped by Indian Air Force at Gurudawara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib Narowal, Punjab Punjab, Pakistan. The memorial board describes this story:



"Indian Air Force dropped this bomb during 1971 at Gurudawara Darbar Sahib Sri Kartarpur Sahib with the aim to destroy it. However this evil design could not be materialized due to BLESSING of WAHEGURU JI (Almighty Allah). The said bomb landed into Sri Khoo Sahib (Sacred Well) and this Darbar Sahib remained unheart. It is pertinent to mention that this is the same Sacred Well from where Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji used to get water to irrigate his fields."

Pakistan Railway Museum Golra Sharif


All these photographs are of Urdu commemorative metal plate, interior and exterior of beautiful building of Pakistan Railway Museum located at Golra Sharif, Islamabad, Pakistan. This museum is also named as Railway Heritage Museum. Railway Heritage Museum was founded in 2003 (officially inaugurated in 2007) and opened for public. The museum building houses relics and antique articles related to Railway from the British Raj. The Railway Museum Golra Sharif is a source of attraction for the tourists and visitors. A big yard is also a part of Railway Museum where cranes, trolleys, saloons, locomotives, coaches and tracks are marshaled impressively. Urdu commemorative metal plate describes this information:

Established in 1880(4.1 Acres) it is the second oldest, most picturesque and historic cricket ground of the Sub-Continent. It is the 35th official Test Cricket Centre of the World. The pavilion was designed and erected by G. Stone and Bahi Ram Singh which has the first Cricket Museum of Pakistan since 2003. The first and second class cricket match on Pakistan soil was play on this grand in 1947. The last test match played here was between Pakistan and West Indies in 1959."

Khalid Waleed Tomb Kabir Wala ,Punjab ,Pakistan


These are photographs of Urdu commemorative boards and ancient beautiful renovated building of Khalid Waleed located at Kabir Wala, Punjab, Pakistan. Urdu commemorative board erected by Archeology Department Punjab reads as below:


"Khalid Waleed is burried at this place. According to local tradition, he came to Multan with the squad of Sultan Mehmood Ghaznavi and died here. According to an inscription found here, this ancient building was constructed by a powerful Governor Ali Bin Karmakh during 1175 to 1186 in the time of Ghauri Dynasty. There is a walled like building of Mosque around the shrine which is the oldest mosque of the Northern areas of South Asian Sub-continent. Its one of distinguish feature is the Mehrab built with baked bricks in the western wall. Quranic Ayats are engraved in and out of the Mehrab."
