British Cemetery of Anglo Sikh War 1848 Located at Near Ramnagar (Rasool Nagar) Gujranwala, Punjab

Our Administration Is Much Pleased to Post The Photographs of Commemorative Stones, Headstones And Small British Cemetery of Anglo Sikh War 1848  Located at Near Ramnagar (Rasool Nagar) Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. This Small Cemetery Was Renovated And Restored By B.A.C.S.A (British Association for Cemeteries in South Asia,  An Organisation Founded in 1977 That Seeks to Maintain and Record for Posterity European Cemeteries in Former Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia Territories of The East India Company Such as India, Sri Lanka, Burma and Malaysia).
There Erected an Urdu Commemorative Stone By British Association for Cemeteries in South Asia On The Wall Of This Cemetery That Reads As:
' We Are very Thankful to The Residents of The Village, Especially Thankful to Baghban Caste and Other People Who Did Cooperation with Us In Preservation of These Graves'
The Writings on Commemorative/ Headstones is As Under'

1-
' In The memory of those who fell in the Cavalry action near This Place on The 22nd November 1849. 16 Killed 64 Wounded & 10 Missing Officers killed.
Brigadier General C. R. CuretonC. B Commanding the Cavalry Division Lt. Col W. Havelock K. H 14th Light Dragoons Subadar Major MirSher Ali Sirdar Bahadar 8th Light Cavalry (Aged 78) died of wounds. Capt. J. F. Fitzgerald,14th Light Dragoons died 26th November 1848.
This site was restored with support from BACSA, The King's Royal Hussars And Ex-Members of 14th,20th King's Hussars, 2000.'

' Sacred to The memory of Brigadier General Charles Robert Cureton C.B. Adjut NT General,16th Light Dragoons,Queen 's Troops who fell in The engagement with The Sikh Troops Near this spot, on the 22nd November 1848. When in command of The Cavalry of The Army under General Lord Gough aged 60 years.'

' In memory of Ensign Henry. Curry. Hillier 20th N. I who died of Small Pox at Ramnuggar18th Of December 1848 in his 25th Year. This Stone was erected by two of his Brothers.'

' Sacred to The memory of William Havelock Lt. Colonel 14th Dragoons who fell nobly on The field of Ramnuggar near this spot at The Head of his Gallant Regt on The 22nd November 1848, Born 1793 entered the Army 1808 and joined the Peninsular Army Came to India in 1824 And served till his death. Regarded throughout India for all that is Manly Gallant and becoming in The Gentleman and Soldier and The words of his Brother The Best  And Bravest of England Chnajiry need not Disdain to make a pilgrimage to this Spot.'
