Nawab Mir Yousaf Ali Khan Salar Jung III (1889–1949), The Former Prime Minister Of The Seventh Nizam Of Hyderabad Spent A Large Amount Over Thirty Five Years to Make This Priceless Collection.

Firstly, These Collections Were Exhibited At 'Diwan Deodi' As A Private Museum Which Was Opened By Jawaharlal Nehru in 1951 And Shifted At Present Building In 1968. The Museum Is Administered By A Board Of Trustees.
