These Are Some Pictures of Arabic Commemorative Stone And Remains of Fatehabad Town Located Between Hisar And Sirsa, India. The Town of Fatehabad Was Founded By Feroz Shah Taghluq, The Sultan of Delhi In The Name of His Son Fateh Khan in 1352 A.D.
'This pillar stands at the town Fatiabad in Haryana state of India. The lower part of the pillar is originally Ashokan which was removed from its original site in a nearby village by Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq and re-established here. Now the body of the pillar is inscribed with the genealogy of Sultan Firoz in Arabic. The town itself was founded by the Sultan and named after his son Fateh Khan. In fact the Sultan was fascinated by the workmanship of these Ashokan pillars. He carried two such pillars to Delhi and set one of them on a three-storeyed building in his fort Ferozshah Kotla in Delhi. The other pillar stands on the Ridge at Delhi, near Hindu Rao Hospital. A section a still another such pillar is there in the Sultan's fort at Hissar, also in Haryana.
